Context is King!
If you've been around the Internet for more than two hours, you've probably heard someone say it or write it. If you haven't, you will. Content is King. What they're saying is that the message is what's important on a web page, not spinning logos or dancing exclamation marks. You'll see it trotted out when people ask about new technologies like streaming media and Flash presentations. "Don't mess with that junk. After all, Content Is King." It's my observation that those people are partially right. I would amend that to: "Content is King, IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT." Suppose you propped up your computer screen in front of someone who cannot read? Would your words still be more important than the Flash movie with sound? Or would the moving pictures and flowing narrative do a better job of telling your story? The same idea applies in building a business. You can talk all you want about making $10,000 a week. If the person you are talking to has no concept of making $10,000 a week, what you say has no meaning. If the person you are talking to already makes $100,000 a week, your measly $10K isn't very impressive. The two prospects are getting the same content. They're getting it in different contexts. So how do you find out what the other person's context is? Easy. Talk to them. And really listen to the answers you get. If you hear things like "that's not possible" or "I can't afford it" then you know their context doesn't include what you're offering. You can use the same tool on yourself. If you find yourself resisting an idea that makes sense to you, check your context. You might not hold that idea as possible for you. If you still want whatever that idea offers, the only answer is to change your context. Which is a subject for another day. Should I Get A Coach?
Why should or would someone hire a life coach? Well, why would anyone purchase the services of a personal trainer, and interior designer or a sports coach - any professional "assistant" for that matter? After all, we all know how to exercise, how to hang a curtain and how to play our own game. But we hire a professional because we know that they will hold us accountable on our goals and objectives - and since we're paying good money for them to be there, often whether we show up or not, we have an added incentive to do so ourselves. We also understand that even though our knowledge of what we're doing may be strong, a professional always has tips, tools and tricks at their disposal which can save us time, aggravation and money. And we get that even the best of best can't "see themselves" from the outside and don't have the objective standpoint about their skills and abilities that a trained and experienced professional can bring to bear on any given situation.

Let me quote something you wrote. "When you reach the boundary between like and love, you know you are entering a different country. You are beyond newness and infatuation. You know what Shakespeare meant when he called love 'an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken.'"
Dont Be Jealous - Be Inspired
When we see people do things we cannot do, or have things we don't have, it might be tempting to be a little jealous. But, jealousy doesn't lead to anything except resentment, and that isn't going to help you. Instead of being jealous of others, focus on being inspired. Let the success of others move you forward toward your own success. After all, people who are doing things you want to do or have things you want are examples of what is possible for you.
Potential
One of the most often mis-understood aspects of self-development is the concept of potential. We are often told that we can achieve our full potential, however, what does this really mean? When the focus is building self-esteem and motivating individuals to do better, there is often the implication that potential is a destination or an end-point that can be reached, and if we just strive for "it", we will reach "it".
