Have a World-Changing Conversation
I know what you're thinking?
"Here I am, completely stressed out and overworked, and here's Barbara telling me
that I can change the world by having a conversation! Really?the heat must have
fried her brain?" You're absolutely right. (About the world-changing conversations, not about the
fried brain.) I'm not talking about changing the big world; I'm talking about
changing your world. Here are some examples: During a group discussion on motivation, one woman learns a new way of
celebrating everyday accomplishments. She easily integrates this into her daily life,
and is soon achieving goals she thought were months and years away. A coach suggests to a client, "Why don't you turn your pager off during your train
ride home?" Lo and behold, the client finds that she's arriving home much less
stressed and much more ready to spend quality time with her family. An entrepreneur joins a group of other entrepreneurs in the same industry. After a
few weekly meetings, she learns that she is much further along in her business
planning and growth than many of her colleagues. She stops beating herself up for
what she hasn't yet accomplished, and appreciates herself for what she has.
Focusing on the positive allows her to attract even more new business and
opportunities. The premise is simple: the right conversation can kick-start the next greatest
phase of your life. I don't mean meaningless, "talk to anyone you meet about anything" conversations.
I'm talking about meaningful conversations about subjects that have value to you. A
small group of folks discussing an issue that is important to all of them. Meaningful
conversations bring many benefits? If you've been working on something by yourself for a long time, you might really
benefit from the insights and experiences of others who have been where you are. If you've been trying to make progress on an issue, or create a larger change in the
world, and are frustrated by a lack of movement, seeking input and sharing ideas
with others can help spread the word faster. If you are feeling isolated and alone, it can help just to know there are others out
there in the same situation. Regardless of how you do it, I encourage you to start
engaging in meaningful conversation today. You can certainly change your world?and who knows what will happen from there? (c)2005 Barbara Bellissimo. Barbara Bellissimo is a women's life transformation coach, and author of the book,

Business Coaching Legacy: Reflections on What You Want to Leave Behind?
Updating my will has been on my mind for quite some time now. Life circumstances change, kids grow-up, financial situations changes. I procrastinated for a very long time about this will. Now that it is, I feel very satisfied and pleased. There is peace in that corner of my mind that nagged and nagged about it for so long. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that people, myself included, avoid making out wills because they don't want to confront their own mortality or have to face up to making difficult decisions.

Do You Need a Performance Coach?
In today's fast paced world, we are often confronted with the issue, "I want to get in shape, but I just don't have the time!" We all have faced it at one time or another. So, when we finally decide to get in shape we go to the gym, and then another decision hits us. Should you get a personal trainer? That would speed up the process, I mean, they have taken massive amounts of time to study the body, and know how best to work out without hurting yourself. They can help you with a proper diet, implementing exercise into your lifestyle, etc. Also, I do not know of a single professional athlete who does not have a coach or mentor?get the hint?
Action NOT Reaction
Do you feel you are in charge of your life do you really believe that you control your destiny? Or you are of those people who feel manipulated all the time, they are doing things and they don't know, why? Do you have the sense that you are a wooden puppet that someone else pulls the strings?
Empowering Vision
Playing Our Part:
Handling Disappointment
Disappointment is an inevitable part of home-based business. Clients won't pay, bids fall through, or business associates don't come through on their promises or act unethically. Some people will deliberately foster cynicism in their consciousness as a way of avoiding the pain of disappointment. This is mistaken as a means of making life better. Disappointment is a temporary condition. Cynicism is a long term poisoning sickness. Neither is necessary; but until the addiction to cynicism is broken, the attraction of positive events in life is greatly inhibited. Thus there is a cycle of disappointment and cynicism. Let go of that negativity and let the good in.

What The Buddha Says About Coaches
There is a Buddhist saying that goes like this:
Take a Chance, Win a Prize
I think that we're all probably familiar with the fairground rant 'take a chance, win a prize'. Whenever I hear this call to action, I immediately break out into a cold sweat. Whether the test is to knock down 6 cans in pyramid formation or to throw a dart at a balloon, I'm there, almost hypnotically, pulling coins out of my pocket. And it doesn't really matter what prizes are on offer either. It could be stuffed panda bears, bubble makers or even Velcro wallets. What's important to me is rising to the challenge and having a go.
